The Teenager and The AR-15 Rifle

After a summer of grief, Its back to school in Uvalde – New York Times

Our school district has shown support to Uvalde by wearing Maroon today…..That’s all we could have done, from another city of Texas to another city of Texas, to say the families how very sorry we are!!

Can ANYTHING justify those twenty-one deaths where an eighteen year old teenager shot nineteen children and two teachers saying “It’s time to die?”

What was he thinking the night before he entered the school? Was he alone? Did he eat his dinner? Did he sleep that night? Did he talk to anyone? Did he say goodbye to his family? Was not there anyone around him to stop him from that horrifying act?

Does anyone know why a teenager picked up a gun for a planned shooting and not a soccer ball to sweat himself down after hours of playing with his friends? And that firearm was so easily available to purchase? Why no one asked him why he bought that rifle? Why did he go to that firearm store and why didn’t he go to any restaurant?

As I wonder about his night before the shooting and about his days before the shooting I wonder about how the families of those nineteen children are doing after four months of that unreplaceable loss! Do they sleep well at night, can they eat their dinner without not crying for their children who they sent to school on May 24, 2022 without knowing that was the last time they saw their children?

I read that their was a child who was the only child of a single mother. I slept closer to Arjya that night and gave him more kisses and tighter hugs and told him more that I love him the most.
